America was wary about the Soviet communist and concerned about Joseph Stalin tyrannical rules of the country.But the soviet resent the American long age rejected treat the USSR. The American official had agreed to make a good defend against the Soviet threat the strategy called the "containmed".
America encouraged the development of atomic bombs like the atom bomb that ended world war II .But this started a deadly arm races. In the 1949 the Soviets test their own atom bomb.But the president Truman announced that the United State would build more destructive atomic bombs:Hydrogen bomb or the "superbomb" The first H-bomb was tested in Eniwetok atoll in the Marshall Islands and it showed how fearsome the nuclear age could be.The H-bomb created a 25-square-mile fireball that evaporated an island,blew a hole in the ocean floor and it has the power to destroy half of Manhattan.Subsequent of the American and the Soviet Union test started to spewed out radiation waste into the atmosphere. But ever since the nuclear annihilation and it impacted the American domestic life.Citizen started building nuclear shelter in their backyard.They practiced attack drills on school and public spaces.In the 1950s and 1960s had a pandemic of popular film that horrified moviegoers with depictions of nuclear devastation and mutant creatures.The atomic arms run had ruined the American lifes.
